Veteran beverage entrepreneur Kevin Law-Smith has always been drawn to the bleeding edge of wellness practices. A yogi, deep sea diver, and life-long global citizen, his own health and wellness journey has been deeply informed by both eastern and western practices, and he has benefitted from powerful ingredients like turmeric, ginger and green tea. He began developing Aya as a beverage packed with these potent natural elements. His vision? A drink to help you awaken your awareness.

Kevin approached Cider and our design partner Design Hungry to build out a stand-out brand for Aya. Working quickly and collaboratively, we established a compelling brand idea of individually illuminated, collectively transformed – a nod to the community orientation of the business, as well as the vibrant hue and functional impact of the drink itself.

From a comprehensive brand definition including values, tone of voice, and a winning manifesto through to the pack copy itself, we harnessed inspiring and inclusive language to win over a new generation of consumers increasingly mindful of their own wellbeing.

The visual identity is natural, modern and imperfectly perfect: minimal but powerful, just like the drink itself. By stripping away all non-essential details, the design creates a visual metaphor for reaching the apex, a singular focus that is both captivating and memorable. Its clean lines and two-tone color palette create a sense of tranquility and visual harmony.
